This will be one of my more brooding, but hopefully brightening blogs.
I am certainly no stranger to dark times. As I am sure are most of you reading this are not. I have found that no matter how dark it gets, once you reach the dawn, things inevitably brighten up. Considerably so. But during those dark times, we find our demons bearing down upon us with vengence. They linger in every song, sitting at the table across from you, in every meme, blog and in your favourite films. You never saw them until it got dark but they were always there. Challenging your every step. I have come to embrace my demons. A big hug, squeezing the life from them and absorbing their energy as my own. So that when the new day dawns I am stronger, wiser and more efficient in life.
When the dusk creeps in each time(make no mistake, it always circles back round) You have to greet your demons with open arms. As if they never left. Because really, they never did. Always they are there. The keys is to make them your freind, your companion in life. When the chips are down they will always be there for you. I take comfort now in that constant. I walk hand in hand into the dawn of a new day with them. They are part of me. Transformed from lingering demons into gaurdian angels.
The key to this door is not as I used to believe to be many moons ago. I used to believe in a forceful opening. Yes that applies to some doors in life occasionally. But in reality, no matter how much you want it. You need to be patient until the key appears. Through progression. Through study. You must learn to identify the issue then evolve, to adjust or absorb it as part of you and life. If you can do this then you can gain a greater appreciation for life as a whole. Taking stock of everything as it is and should be. Not how you think it should be. Your mind is not the world around you. When you recognise and accept your demons then your mind can be one with the world around you. Not trying to force it like a pair of shoes you loved and bought. But they were too small, yet you stubbornly wear them anyway.
I will keep to my personal blogging philosophy and stop here. I do not like to ramble on. I prefer to keep it short for your reading pleasure. But dont forget. From dusk til dawn, during the dark times. We can find strength in our demons. I have had some very dark personal times. I am still alive and thankful that I can walk openly with my gaurdian angels.
